Spinach, Brazillian

  • Price: $5.00

It creeps and roots from nodes over a large area. It responds well to fertilizer. Once planted it can be maintained permanently as a perennial. Place in the ground with some shade but keep it moist while rooting. It grows fast but is not invasive. (Ref: see link).

Comments Warnings : Also known as West Indian Arrowroot, the tubers can be eaten raw, roasted, or grated into meal. The highly digestible starch is used in pastries and to thicken gravies, soups and sauces without adding a mealy taste.
