Celeriac is a bi-annual grown as a vegetable which originates from Northern Europe and grows best in soil which has been fertilized the previous season and not the current season. Too much nitrogen in the soil from manure will encourage leaf growth rather than growth of the bulbous root. The best position is in moist beds that receive at least a half-day of full sun with a little shade in the summer. Use compost for best results to improve the soil. Is frost tolerant. (Ref: PFAF - see link).

Comments Warnings : Not to be taken by pregnant women. A variety of celery used for its root. Delicious in soups, stews and casseroles.
